چکیده

Neom is expected to face climate and environmental challenges, including the provision of water mitigation flood drought risks. The field data for identifying potential risk zones are limited. I utilized remote sensing geographic information system (GIS) techniques identify such zones. datasets used here included drainage density, lineament precipitation, elevation, lithology, slope, soil, land use/land cover. These were analyzed using a weighted overlay analysis in GIS environment. successfully mapped groundwater, flood, Neom. zone with good groundwater covered 515 km2 Neom, whereas 11,562, 10,616, 289 had moderate, poor, very poor chance having respectively. area lowest danger only 195 km2, areas low, high flooding 4355, 13,542, 4910 land, results showed that low risks associated 4322 44 In turn, 10,615 8266 region at moderate risk,

Identification of Groundwater Potential Zones in Moalleman, Iran by Remote Sensing and Index Overlay Technique in GIS

Water plays a vital role in the development of activities in an area. The surface water resources are inadequate to fulfill the water demand. Productivity through groundwater is quite high as compared to surface water, but groundwater resources have not yet been properly exploited. Keeping this view, the present study attempts to select and delineate various groundwater potential zones for the ...

Mapping of Agriculture Drought using Remote Sensing and GIS

Agriculture drought occurs when moisture level in soils is insufficient to maintain average crop yields. Initial consequences are in the reduced seasonal output of crops & other related production. An extreme agricultural drought can lead to a famine, which is a prolonged shortage of food in a restricted region causing widespread diseases and deaths from starvation. Agriculture drought is mainl...
